  • March Minutes Update
    • 10% of all proceeds go to JROC from 7 Hills that day
    • Sally and Katie will attend event Saturday
    • Match donation is for individual donations

    • Trash Awareness Campaign
      • Nick and Nate presenting
      • Partnered with VCU for next level community service
      • Original ide was to raise money for JRPS
      • Better to raise awareness for fishing
      • Waste disposal
      • Made cards that contain info on pollution levels and methods to remediate those problems
      • Ancarrow’s landing 9 – 1pm April 8th
      • Riverside Outfitters will be there as well to provide boat safety lessons
      • Looking for help to pass out cards
      • possible prizes like bass pro gift cards
      • send email blast notifying membership
    • Pump House Park Project
      • A lot of rot to be fixed
      • Film company happened to be shooting there and they rebuilt the ramp
      • Approved to clear that money from project list as it wasn’t spent
    • Whistle Stop Theatre
      • Grass roots effort to raise money for JROC
      • Waiting on them to write check to JROC
    • 14th Street Trash cans
      • How do we get people to bring trash to can?
      • How do we get people to pack trash out?
      • Removed 42st can and people brought trash to trail head
      • Several cans that serve little to no purpose
      • Portojohns may start being used as trash cans after can removal
      • Removing trash cans may hinder others from helping to clean up
      • How do we measure success?
        • May be transition period where trash gets worse
        • June meeting JRPS staff will come back and report if trash can removal was successful
    • GRTC Final Plan
      • Final plan eliminates stops along the JRPS system and BLVD
      • Still working for a stop around Tredegar St
        • Possible once an hour service
        • Possible circulator route that may spur off of broad st route
      • Current routes where chosen for frequency not quantity

        • working with group who has been working there for years

    • Friends is undertaking a joint master plan and has been accepted

      • decking and rails have been coming loose
        • possible faulty install
      • southside is closed due to non-compliant ADA asphalt
  • Zeke Report
    • Amy Robinson, assistant to Parker
      • Meets with Betsy and Parker about doubling fines
      • Fines go “Straight to Nate.”
      • Funds should not go into general fund
      • Coordinate volunteer organization, possibly into umbrella group
      • Possible quarterly meetings of all the groups
  • Max Report
    • Got placards made for JROC projects
    • Can be placed on past projects
    • 50 smaller signs
    • 6 larger signs
    • working on project to remove concrete slab that forms sieve at 4th drop
      • might have access to bateau and equipment
