- River safety

- Lots of important things to touch on regarding pre-trip planning and on-river safety. Could become a series?
- Fish Ladders – entrapment hazard (cable/wire) – Riverrock race or T Potts repair work as a source?
- New river flip signage
- Updates – removed extra text/content and river level in feet (doesn’t translate to helpful knowledge for everyone and can be misunderstood as depth)
- 3 levels: Caution – Hazard – Danger
- River safety maps
- Ordered several 1000 of these last year; distributed to schools, parks, fire dept, outfitters, JRW, etc
- Reorder the same # with new edits – shop around for more affordable print services? $5k more approved for order.

- Projects
- JUNE – Huguenot Flatwater (HFW) – overlook railings (already sent out in newsletter). $150 for lumber requested – approved.
- July Project proposals from Greg & others:
- 10 throw bags (and training on how to use them) in all JRPS vehicles
- $850 for ropes from NRS or River Hooligans – approved
- Diversity Park – whose jurisdiction? Make it publicly usable again.
- Belle Isle Nail Shed and brick wall vine removal – what would this entail?
- Belle Isle Quarry railings
- Dry Rocks / Hydroelectric plant clean up
- Rock at Half Moon Beach
- Maintenance road canal clean out
- 22nd St entrance rehab
- 14th St changing rooms
- Extending Williams Island portage trail before Aug-Sept (high usage) – establish the trail by the upstream sign.

- CSO stakeholders meeting June 29th – Last meeting was in April.
